Conference Venue

The 2026 edition of DCP will be hosted in the “Aula Dini” of the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, in the building called “Palazzo del Castelletto”, in via del Castelletto, a street close to the famous Cavalieri’s Square in the very center of Pisa.

How to reach the venue

By plane

Pisa has an international airport with daily flights to London, Paris, Bruxelles and other important European cities, as well as to Rome, Milan, and other Italian cities. The timetable of incoming and outgoing flights together with a list of carriers is available at the Pisa International Airport website (Galileo Galilei Airport, PSA). The airport is on the outskirts of the town, approximately 4 km from city center. To reach the Palazzo del Castelletto, it is probably most convenient to take a taxi. Otherwise, you can take a city bus (see below).

By train

The railway station is located on the main line from Turin to Rome. There is also a very frequent train service to and from Florence. Ferrovie dello Stato provides a train schedule and booking service.

The railway station is 1o min walking from the earth of the city. To reach the Palazzo del Castelletto you can take bus (see the section “City bus” below) or a Taxi, but it takes only 15-18 min by walking.

By car

Pisa is located near the junction of two major highways: the A12 (running north–south from Sestri Levante to Livorno) and the A11 (running east–west from Pisa to Florence). If you are arriving via the A12 motorway (green signs), take the exit “Pisa Centro”.

Once you are on the city road network, set your navigation system to “Lungarno Pacinotti” or “Piazza Santa Caterina”. Please avoid setting “Piazza del Castelletto” as your destination, as it is located within a restricted traffic zone (ZTL). Access to this area is permitted only to residents or to vehicles with a valid disability permit.

By city bus

A complete map of public transportation of Pisa city is available at this website by “Autolinee Toscane”. You have to indicate your starting point and “Piazza dei Cavalieri” as your destination.
